Manage Children with Learning Disabilites
Committed to boosting awareness regarding ASD and ADHD conditions in children, Nurture Pods has taken concrete steps to engage and equip educators with the necessary skills they would need to manage children with learning disabilities.
We are the pioneers in providing services to equip educators with the skills on managing children with learning disabilities and/or special needs in schools in Singapore.
The first intervention centre in Singapore
• Clinch an innovation grant from Ministry of Social and Family Development to pair up with a local childcare to teach teachers to work and handle children with special needs.
• Run workshop in both English and Chinese.
We are widely sought after by many local and international pre-schools, primary and secondary school to train their staff for awareness on autism and various special needs.
Equip Yourself with the Right Knowledge
A series of workshops are designed to familiarize educators and support staff with the various challenges faced working with children with special needs in mainstream schools. Key topics covered in workshops:
We train educators in Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) or Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Relationship Development Intervention (RDI) which are recommended in the Ministry of Health booklet (AMS-MOH Clinical Practice Guidelines 1/2010) for management of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related developmental disorders. In addition, we train personnel who wants to be school shadow support teachers to help children with special needs integrate into mainstream schools.
