Titus graduated from the Nanyang Polytechnic with a Diploma in Occupational Therapy in 1996 and continued to pursue his postgraduate occupational therapy education from 1998 – 2001. In July 2001, Titus graduated from the St Loye’s School of Health Studies (affiliated to the University of Exeter, UK) with a Master of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. In October 2013, Titus obtained his full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) to practice occupational therapy in Singapore.

Titus has an extensive work experience in the restructured, community, and private hospitals; special schools, early intervention programmes for infants and children (EIPIC) with autism spectrum disorders and developmental delays, the dyslexic community, and private therapy centres for children with special needs. He has worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at the DAS Academy (Subsidiary of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore, DAS) for the Advanced Essential Literacy Approach Certificate Programme in 2013. He has also contributed extensively to the DAS publications with various articles and journals during his stint with the DAS. In his private therapy practice, Titus has conducted various training workshops in the area of special needs management for preschool and special educational teachers.

Titus became a Certified Handwriting Specialist (Handwriting Without Tears) in 2013. In the following year, he obtained his certification as a reliable rater in using the Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS). He has also attended training in vision screening and vision therapy in the management of visual deficits for children at the Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital, Missouri USA, in April 2014. At present, Titus is pursuing further training to become a reliable rater in using the School Assessment of Motor and Process Skills (AMPS) and applying the Occupational Therapy Intervention Process Model (OTIPM) in his day-to-day practice with children and school-age students with special needs.

Titus’ special interests include providing vision therapy for children and students with special needs, conducting research studies in the management of visual deficits among children and school-age students, and providing handwriting remediation interventions.
